Who am I...
I am a woman. I'm very comfortable with myself and what I have to offer this world. I believe in living passionately, and always setting goals to be a better person. I care deeply about other humans, which was one of the many reasons I became a therapist.
I am extremely passionate about my career and worked really hard to get myself to this point. I love being able to make a difference in my clients' lives, even if it's only in a small way. I come alive when I'm in my therapist chair and am happy to guide my clients through their own self-exploration journey.
I have become self-aware and made meaning out of my own life, and I feel that I have a story to tell. I'm hoping this blog can reach out to those that are feeling lonely or feel there is no hope for a better future. I use quotes, experience from my counseling career (confidentially), and some of my own life story to put together something that is hopefully meaningful to the people that read it.
Education and Experience
I graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a major in Psychology, and a minor in Sociology. I took a little break before realizing I wanted to pursue a career in counseling.
I worked full-time while attending CUNY Hunter, and graduated with a Masters in Education: Mental Health Counseling.
I worked in the field, both in various counseling agencies and private practice, and came to realize that the best fit for me was private practice. When your sole focus can be the issues your clients are dealing with, it is very rewarding.
I opened up my own private practice so that I could ensure the best services would be provided to my clients, both clinically and administratively.
